@missy I have tried all sorts of "dating" platforms and formats, and am very jaded after 3 men in quick session tried to scammed me for money when I was on a site famous for swiping left for not being interested on a profile.
The first one made me feel really bad when I clamped shut and said no. However, I kept chatting to him, and could foresee he was playing the guilt card trying get me agreed to help him.
So I quickly blocked him so that he could not contact me again.
I have this self-preservation mechanism in that as soon as money is mentioned I would clamp shut, as I will not share my hard earned money with anyone else, after having my fingers burnt twice over 20 years ago.
Happy as I am being single with the pets for company, and I don't have to answer to anyone, and be able to make decisions without having to consult anyone else.
Yes it makes me very selfish in some ways, however, what is mine is mine and I am not sharing, properties, time and money, the lot.
