Now that I have a ring with a plain shank, I'd like to add a diamond band. I'd like it be be really thin, really sparkly and comfortable to wear. My H bought me a Tiffany Metro a while ago, but I didn't love it with my Emily, so ended up returning it. I don't recall being blown away by the sparkle at the time, though. Should I give it another try? Any other suggestions?

Thank you lovely ps'ers

Id Jewelry makes beautiful bands.

My Riviera eternity band from BlueNile sparkles way more than I expected. I have the 1/2ctw eternity version, which is 1.8-1.9mm wide, but they offer a 1/4ctw version that is even thinner at 1.5mm wide (and some wider options @ 1, 2 and 3ctw). If you go with platinum, the diamonds are upgraded in color and clarity (H VS2). Not sure if the diamonds that come with the gold options (I SI2) are as nice. BlueNile has a great return policy, so it might be worth checking out. GL

Thank you. Will look at both.

That's perfect - I want platinum anyway as I don't seem to react well to gold jewellery.

The shallow U-cut pave by Victor Canera is a great band. It's very thin and delicate. The metal is hardly noticeable. This is a pic from VC. I have one and I wearing a lot. I have some pics I can dig up if you want.

Leon Mege’s string theory bands look amazing and are around 1.5 - 1.6 mm. But I understand they are delicate.

Your emerald cut makes me feel a bit faint :kiss2:

@MakingTheGrade - Sorry to go off-topic but your emerald... It's beautiful. I tagged you in a different post about ECs if that's OK :)

Super thin, super sparkly - Leon Mege, single cut String Theory.

Gorgeous little bands, sturdier than they have any right to be given their delicacy... But they’re delicate.

I have super thin and sparkly bands from good old gold. 10 years and still in great shape. I wear them everyday.

Leon Mege has a 1.3-1.5 mm band called the string theory band... it is lovely! Much cheaper than Tiffany metro!!

Thank you for posting that. It's stunning with your emerald cut. Do you know the width? I looked on the website, but it doesn't say.

That's stunning. Would you mind posting a picture? I like the thought of it because I'd like diamonds all the way around and Victor's pave is by far the most comfortable I've ever come across.

Thank you. I've just had a look on his website and they look exactly right. I'm going to start a thread asking about them.

Truthfully Victor's brightcut pave work is super durable. I wear my eternity all the time, and put it in the ultrasonic every couple of weeks, and absolutely zero problems. And of course it is super comfortable. It's just under 2mm, and he doesn't usually make pave too thin because he doesn't like to risk the stones falling out.

It's so beautiful. The shank on my Emilya was 1.8 and I didn't have any issues but it wasn't a full eternity. Is it prong or channel set?

It’s essentially both. There are “walls” and prongs but as you know the work is so fine you cannot even see the prongs.
Here are some close ups.
