Full of sr citizens doing yoga in the aisles. Is this a new thing? All dressed like granola munchers in leggigs and Birkenstock’s. :lol-2:

Is this your first time in Portland? A lot of its residents are..........unique.

They are blocking the aisle to do yoga??? How are you supposed to get by if you need to goto the bathroom?

They don’t care if you need to go to the bathroom. I live in Chicago, I shove them aside! :Up_to_something:
No, I’ve been here many times, two of my kids have settled here. Last Easter I was here, most atheist place I ever saw. No one was celebrating Easter. We went down town to breakfast and Satan made my meal. :shifty: He was covered in satanic symbols and tattoos. And yes, I realize I’m generalizing, not everyone here is like that. I do like it here, very pretty.

Maybe they were worried about blood clots?

Were they sitting on the filthy floor?

There is an area of Portland different than the rest, Lake Oswego - more churches per mile than anyplace I have ever seen. You might like it here. Before the election, somebody tried to have a Trump rally there but it turned into a brawl and the police broke it up.

I'm trying to figure out how they have the room to do yoga, there's barely enough room to just walk without hitting someone! I'm a little surprised the attendants allow it, you're really not supposed to be in the aisle unless you're using the restroom. Even then, you're not allowed to stand in the aisle.

Doing the standing yoga stuff, one leg up behind them, bends, standing stretching.
Now I get the Amtrak to Eugene. I have been to LAke Oswego, if I were to move here that is one of the communities I would consider.

Lake Oswego is truly beautiful and we like to go there for the restaurants and the Salt and Straw ice cream. But my son in law, who is a native says the locals call it Lake No Negros because of the deed restrictions they (hopefully) used to have there.

That sounds like my husband but not on a plane! He does this when we get out of the car. He braces on the car and does a holding lunge and arches his back..He says he gets all cramped up..I used to get embarrassed but now I just trade eye rolls with someone if they laugh..

I am one of those elderly babes who does yoga on planes. Lol ...waiting for the bathroom or standing just outside the kitchen.
Also, I take baby aspirin, drink a ton of water, wear those constrictive knee socks and get up once an hour. I have learned to sit in the front row or on an aisle. That’s on an 8-9 hour flight though and fortunately I travel alone so I have no SO to embarass!

Oregon is totally worth it. Portland is great for food and drink. Farm-to-table is a religion here and your waiter will probably be able to tell you (and some of them tell you whether you want to hear it or not) where every veggie, meat, and starch came from. If you've never watched Portlandia, do so. It is not an exaggeration of life in Portland; it's an accurate representation.

I’ll put it on our list! I like knowing where my food comes from..my husband not so much! Haha..
I’ll watch Portlandia..I can’t wait..I’m looking for something new to watch when my hubby travels..

It is very much like Portlandia, especially the in-laws here.

I love Lake Oswego! We would love to move to Oregon. People doing yoga in the aisles-not so much.

I have been in Eugene the last two days. Not as cool as Portland .
