OMG My GOG Asscher is here

AND I CAN''T OPEN IT!!!! The BF would kill me and then I''d never get to have an asscher...

If some of you remember, I posted originally about a 1.15-that is absolutely beautiful and still love today...but we (well me) decided to go with a bigger one..the 1.56 Carat. I wanted to post and get feedback on this stone, but I saw alot of what was out there and there really isn''t much in regards to Asschers so I just made the decision..plus I really trust Jon and GOG..they were patient...(and I already want a 2 Carat and their upgrade policy is great) I can''t believe I''m already saying that.

I was driving my self crazy deciding on a setting, so for now we have it set in a white gold solitaire setting with split claw prongs... We get married in 56 days so something needed to happen...

Folks, I can''t tell you how much this place and you people made this whole process so much easier for both me and my man-

Holy cow...you mean you can actually hold the box? I mean touch it...And caress it and well, it is right there? I hate for you to be really sneaky and deceptive...but there are times when I am sure even the Pope would dismiss your transgressions.

No, I refuse to encourage that. He wants to be included in that first moment of glee when you see your baby for the first time. You wait. You can lick the box. And you can caress it. I bet you can even shake it. You can draw on it little graffiti things and just let him know when he comes home how involved you were in your restrain. I would strap it on and wear it so when he comes home...you are wearing the box! (not the apron idea in the other post idea from Ellen) but actually one with the box.

Anyway--Storm and other asscher junkies...what do think of the stone in terms of #''s, etc etc?

Here is a side by side comparision of the original 1.15 and the 1.56..I didn''t want to go below an F but in this picture you can''t really tell the difference..but what do I know.

I really loved the pattern of the 1.15 but wanted something bigger since I wasn''t going to spend the money and do the halo right now. (Which, by the way Kaleigh--I really really love your setting)

they are at way different angles so its impossible to compare them in the picture.
I checked out the data and everything is aok, should look just like a bigger version of your other one.

The setting is temporary- and it maybe a while temporary- solitaire setting with split claw prongs.

Eventually I either want to do a halo-like Kaleigh''s, or a just a simple thin pave band, or 2 baguettes on the side, or etc. etc. etc.

This is why I just decided to get the simple solitaire for now. I''ve changed my mind about 5 times in the last month. For now, I''m going to get to know my little assch and see how we get along, just the two of us, and then I will come back and worry and fret some more over the setting one day.
