He''s got the ring shopping trip all planned out. He just gave me the whole itinerary.

He has a date and a plan for the private proposal. I already suspected he had a date due to something he told me a couple of weeks ago, but the plan? That''s new.

He has a plan for the engagement dinner. I knew he intended to invite both our families to dinner and ask for my parents blessing, but it turns out it will be much more. He will do his speech and announce his intention to marry me to both our families, ask for my parents blessing and propose to me again in front of everyone.

Have I already told you that my wonderful soon-to-be fiancé is NOT a planner?

On a similar note, after I showed my boyfriend the ring I want, he mentioned that he had to tell his parents, but he wouldn''t say anything else. So, I know exactly how you feel! My BF isnt'' a planner either. I guess that just goes to show guys are just full of surprises!

Your future fiance sounds like he''s thought about this a lot! And his "plans" sound perfect!

I know the plan for the engagement dinner, but I have no idea of the date, neither do I know about the date or plan of the private proposal. I don''t want to know about those and spoil the surprise, and he''d probably end up telling me if I asked the right questions (he''s not very subtle, bless him), so I''m definitely shutting up about the plans now!

Thanks Ebree!! I have a bit of news of the ring department too, actually... The SO said we could print out the design I like and see if we could have in made by a jeweler for a price that matches his budget. I was thinking maybe I could get sapphire sidestones... And I have found a ring I really love when I went looking by myself, so maybe we''ll get that one. There are so many options out there, I''m sure we''ll find something perfect!

nytemist - My SO certainly won't propose before term is over as we are 300 miles away when I'm at school. I'm moving back home on April 29th, which means I still have at least 'til then to wait. I'm crossing my fingers for you to get engaged before that!!

I have a mini-update and didn''t want to start a new topic for it. I took a break for the near-midterm craze and went to the shopping center this evening. I tried on ring styles just for kicks, and I think that WG fits much better with my skintone that YG does. So, I''ve changed my mind (yet again...). But it''s better to change my mind while I still have time, right?

And I definitely prefer the way a three-stone looks on my hand than a five stone, so I guess I had to try some on to know! If I was to get a solitaire, call me crazy, but 0.50ct is big enough for me, and it''d have to be set as low as possible, maybe in a 2.5mm contour or tapered cathedral setting.

I also have (possible) budget good news!! My SO just told me he''ll be putting in a lot of overtime at work because they got a BIG contract, and that a friend hired him to work as a capenter for a project that will apparently get him some big bucks, he says around 20K. He''s very happy because he was pretty much broke until now because he didn''t work for two whole months recently and he still has car payments to make. I told him I was happy for him, and he said: "Well, I have a ring to buy and some money to put aside for our future house." So, he might have a bigger budget for my ring than we first thought! We never know...

And isn''t it sweet when they say things like "our future house"??

Oh, I can''t wait to go shopping with him!!! Only two weeks to go (and two midterms... eurgh

). I can''t wait!!!
