Hi, I''ve been reading this board for about 3 weeks and taking in ALL of your excellent advice! (Thank you so much!) Here''s my dilema: I''m choosing between to very beautiful round 1.35 stones. The first is a VS2 with some "feathery inclusions" when I use the magnifier, but beautiful to the eye with H color. The second stone is 1.35 SI1, also H color, but the inclusions are tiny black dots. These inclusions are on the underside of the diamond and I couldn''t see them either, except with the magnifier. The first stone is $800 more than the second. Are black inclusions a biigger issue than feathery inclusions? Is it worth $800 to choose the first stone. THANKS for any reply. You all are so helpful!

What about the cut info? The size differences? With more information we can run your mubers the HCA. Thanks!

Hi Tyke

Welcome to PS. I would think the first stone would be better as I don't want black inclusions in my stone. I'm just not comfortable with them, but others may disagree. Can you give us the crown and pavilion angles??? Also I'd like to see how big those black dots are.

My personal choice would be to go for whichever is better cut. I know some folks reject diamonds with black dots, etc, but for me, as long as the diamond is eyeclean when unmagnified, that doesn''t bother me.

Ditto. I don''t care what color inclusions are if I can''t see them. Cut makes a much bigger difference.
