Old photos

I am scanning a carry-on bag full of old family photos I brought home from my trip with my grandmother. It is so fun getting to see my great (and great-great) grandparents and even older. Many have the names written on the back. Some even include age when taken or date when taken. My grandmother and her sister had a blast going through these for hours looking and adding more names to photos with no labels. What is sad is that some that are even older (my great-great-great and similar!) have no names written and all those who would have known them have passed.

Please, take the time to write names! In this day of digital photos, I know I don't actually write anything. It is easy to add a text box over a corner or name the photo as to who it is. Even a document with numbers corresponding to photo numbers.

Same thing happened to us. So I went back and re did the labels best I could for our children. Great tip!
