Old Mine Cut

Please help. I have two oldmine cut stones 1.01 carat, and 1.71 carat and I know about the stones but I want to find the history of the cut, etc. Also, how will these hold value compared to other cuts?

There is no way to know the value of your stones without getting an independent appraisal by someone familiar with antique stones. As for whether or not they held their value, again, if they are antique stones of excellent cut, polish, symmetry, then they can be higher in value than a new stone of similar quality. However, if they are of a lower quality, then they probably wont be as valuable as something new of similar quality.

Thank you. I love these stones and will start my research. I am waiting on the appraisal for the larger- but they are gorgeous and will be worn with smiles.
