Hi everyone. My boyfriend and I are soon to be engaged, and I''ve been scouring the internet for rings and resources. I stumbled across this site and I''m hooked. What an amazing resource!

I know very little about diamonds, settings, etc., but I wanted to ask and see if anyone had opinions.
My boyfriend has an 1/2K old mine cut family heirloom that will be the center stone for my ring. I love this tacori setting, but I''m wondering if it''ll work with the diamond. Any thoughts?

No reason it can''t work. Good luck. :)

There is no reason why the setting will not work for your diamond as long as the outside diameter of your diamond is within the tolerance set by Tacori for the 5.5 mm option available for this setting. Do you know the diameter of your diamond? If so, feel free to post it here.

Thanks so much for responding!

I don''t know the diamond''s measurements, but I''ll find out and see what the jeweler says.

I was just afraid that a minor cut center stone might look dull amidst the other diamonds around it, and I didn''t want to get a setting that would diminish the center diamond rather than accenting it.

Thanks again, and I''ll pursue this further.

OMG!!!! This setting is my favorite. I''m sure it will look great. Post pic afterwards please!!!!

Well, table view, only the main diamond is noticeable, it should still be the center of attention.
