Hi,
I went to a local vendor the other day and he was very nice and has a good reputation around the area. However, the diamonds that he showed me had the old GIA certificate (e.g. no cut grade).
He says that they are all "ideal" or close to "ideal" but I am having difficulty determining if his prices are competitive without this information.
I believe from reading these boards that a Sarin analysis would be helpful, but he e-mailed me back saying that he does not have these tools.
Is there any other way that I can determine cut grade/proportions so that I can accurately compare prices?
Thanks.
Johnson
