Old Cushion Cuts

What is an Old Cushion? Is it an elongated OMC or is it different somehow?

One can''t be sure if it means something special to someone else. To me it would mean about the same as Old Mine Cut or OMC. Maybe someone is attempting to differentiate an antique cushion cut from 100+ years ago from a very recently cut cushion cut. It should not be any reference to length to width ratio..... Probably it is just one person''s way of saying OMC.

Does that mean that a "cushion cut" is really a modern cut, while in old cuts some people use cushion cut to incorrectly reference an OMC?
