I''ve learned a ton from roaming pricescope these past few weeks as I seek out a diamond for an engagement ring. I''m interested in a 1.4 carat round brilliant I found, but wonder if the proportions are okay. The dimensions are:

Carat: 1.4
Color: G
Cut: AGS Ideal 0
Light/Proportion/Finish: 0/0/0
Polish: Ideal
Clarity: VS2
Table: 53.8%
Crown Angle: 35.2
Crown Height: 16.3%
Depth: 62.2%
Pavillion Depth: 42.9%
Pavillion Angle: 40.7
Measures: 7.22-7.20x4.47mm
Girdle: M-Stk Faceted

The table seems a bit small (though still within ideal) and the CA seems a bit steep. I''ve asked for a picture but don''t yet have one. Any thoughts on this diamond? I''m intrigued by it and think it might have a lot of fire.

Thanks in advance!

The numbers certainly look good to me. I would expect the Idealscope picture to look good too.

CA looks just fine for the 40.7 PA.
With 54 table and 35.2 crown, it will fire nicely.
If your preference is brightness, there are other combos for that taste.
But this diamond is a nice one.

You would want to see the IS image.
Even a regular pic would help.
New AGS 0 means excellent light return,
But does not guarantee the internal symmetry - H&A, if it is one of your criteria.
