Well after deciding against a plain vatche x prong. I have decided to get something with a little more accent to the setting itself.
While staying with the vatche x prong style setting I am thinking of going with the channel set version instead.

The only other setting I am looking at is the Precision set (bead set) setting.

I like the clean aspect of the channel set, but like the complexity of the bead set. I also like the vatche crown design better.

Also this ring will be platinum BTW.

Can anybody help disect the differences between these ring settings further?

I got a nice H/A 1ct at GOG waiting to go into this.

One has more diamonds than the other running down the shank, they are both very pretty settings.

I know what you are saying...I think you need to go custom...vatche head with the bead set diamonds and milgrain down the shank!

If I had my choice between the two, I would go with the precision set. I love the milgrain and the beadset diamonds!

Edit - BTW, if I were going to get the vatche X-prong I would probably get it in all metal. For some reason, the channel set stones
distract from the beautiful lines of the setting(IMO). I would probably get a shared prong eternity like band to go with it as a wedding band
to add some bling!

I love the first option vatche x prong, have you thought of wedding bands, what is her taste? more minimalist or more in the details? if you aren''t sure, then I would just do a plain solitaire setting, and let her choose later, but if you know for sure what she would like then definitely get what you think she would like not what we like.

I like setting number 1 the best but either would be lovely. What style does she tend to gravitate to when you look in a store?

I like the 2nd one it is very pretty

Of the two, I prefer the PS ring, which is funny, because I have the plain WG X-Prong. I just don't care for the channel set on that particular ring for some reason. But it's all personal!

Have you considered the Vatche Royal X Pave? That would get you a bit more going on, on the band, with the signature curviness of the Vatche head. Just thought I'd throw that one in the mix, feel free to ignore!

Here's a couple thread with real life pics. There are a few more pics on the second page.

And the pics in here are huge, but you do get an up close and personal look at the ring!

Ok thanks for the advice. I really do think my GF will like the bead set better anyways. Bead set it is. Both are great rings, but I think this one will please more.

PS make very nice settings, I think she'll be pleased!

And if you could, please come back with pics. We love seeing them, and there are very few PS settings on here. They need more exposure, they really are pretty!
