Oh no. My immediate thought is "forget about the race." LOL. But I hope I am wrong.
I broke and dislocated the pinky on my right foot about years ago. It was so bad that I had to go to an orthopedic surgeon to get it fixed. I laugh about it now, but, seriously, that corner of my foot hurt for a solid year and it completely governed my choice of shoes and activities. I am not exaggerating. At least a year. One day I just woke up and it found it had suddenly just stopped hurting. Looking on the bright side, I amassed a large collection of lovely sandals that I still use to this day.
