Not as funny. It''s different. I love the illustrations. I have a thing for children''s books. I was talking to DH about opening a childrens'' book store in the new shopping center that opened in my neighborhood. In all of my free time! Haha If only I didn''t make kids cry . . .
What on earth do you do to kids? We are twins. I also love children''s books, albeit the British ones I grew up with.
Really disrespectful children are my pet peeve. I''m a bit like Super Nanny (have you heard of the show?). I WILL break the naughty ones. I only believe that all children need consistent boundaries. I''m never afraid to set them. In the past, I have volunteered with the little ones who would like to test wills. They are the ones to cry. I just think it is so mean of parents to have these beautiful children that are so terribly frustrated and do not know how to behave. Allowing children to run amuck is only bad for the child.

British children''s books!!! Oh now that is something I would love. What are your faves? I''d love to get a few.

Nope, I''ve never watched Super Nanny. I can''t stand badly behaved brats.

My absolute favourite British author is Noel Streatfeild (Ballet Shoes). Unfortunately, most of her work is out of print. I also like the Bagthorpe Family series by Helen Cresswell. You''d have to get that from England, though.

Great! Thanks! I''ve heard of Ballet Shoes...With DD around, we have a lot of ballet in our lives.

Caveat: Streatfeild''s writing straddles the two World Wars, so they may be outdated for the chimper.

Miss Chimper is a bit too young for them now, but, she will be exposed to different types of literature as she grows. No such thing as outdated in books. A have a ton of my grandmother''s and DH''s grandfather''s books. Over the weekend I read a very old guide to sewing.

You''re right. Those books would have been ''outdated'' even when I was growing up. I''m glad you''re bringing her up as a reader. Reading is such a joy. One more author (out of print, though): Lorna Hill.

Hi Harriet, love you

Finally. I was beginning to think he was ashamed of it. Thanks!

ha ha, NO Way, he should have named it after you though!!!

That wouldn''t have been fair. The design is a modification of his. Besides, the Tsavorite ring has already been named after me and its designer.

Oh Ok, I didn''t know that. Is your tsv ring on his website???

No, and my friend doesn''t want it there either. Let me see if I can persuade Leon to leave it off.

Is that because it is one of a kind??? If that is the reason, I agree with you.

Yes, just like some people. Haha.

ha ha ha ha, you are tooooooooooooooooo funny and so right, ha ha ha ha

Thanks. I''ll check her out. Have you seen any of the Flower Fairy books by Cicely Mary Barker? She''s an English author. Her illustrations are gorgeous. Chimpers nursery was done in a Flower Fairy theme. http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/0723248397/ref=sib_dp_pt#reader-link

How pretty! Lucky Chimpers.

I tried these bands on yesterday. Too much?

Nah. You need a white diamond one on either side of those!
31.gif

Miranda! Clean diamond, huh?

HARRIET!!!! Why don''t you clean it? Even if you just give it a quick go with a baby toothbrush and some dishsoap while it is on your finger.

Purell!
