Very cool idea Erica ! Any idea where to get something like that? It reminds me of WF's bellerina one, very pretty.Date: 11/25/2008 11:26:40 PM

How do you feel about buttercup style settings? Very vintage feel and will also add size to the stone.
Hey TL, thankyou for the suggestion - that is an interesting idea ! Kinda like the Frank Gehry "torque" pendant from Tiff''s..? (sorry, can''t post a pic.)Date: 11/26/2008 12:46:20 AM

Beautiful, and if it were me, I would retain a square halo for it, to modernize the art deco look of the antique cut, similar to how it is set now, but in a more modern halo. I love round stones in square heads.
Aw really? I'm sure you're right, I forgot about that..Date: 11/26/2008 8:44:57 AM

Gorgeous stones, aj! I especially love the look of the .8! I would go bezel all the way for the pendant! (And when you get the James Meyer ring I am going to freak out! I must have something from him, too!)
P.S. I think you (or whoever you send) has to spend $1000 to get the $100 from WF.
Hey LGK, I''m glad you dropped by and you think they look nice ! I was hoping you would approve, lolDate: 11/26/2008 9:52:37 PM

Oooh! I adore the cut of the ring. It looks lovely! I''m also a huge fan of the square head setting- my original e-ring was set in one (but a lottttt smaller!)
I''d bezel the cute .5 one. Very pretty!
Oohh, thats lovely! Thankyou for poating it Erica, and also for commenting on my stones.Date: 11/28/2008 10:57:03 PM

Both stones look very promising, Arjunajane! I really love the OECs with floral facet pattern and the 2nd stone will make a killer pendant!
I posted this pic on another thread, but wanted you to see an example of a very delicate fixed chain bezel. This one has milgrain and a vintage look, but a sleek chunky bezel (like the pic you posted) would be a really cool contrast to the chunky facets of the old cut too. I personally love the look of old stones in modern style settings![]()
