I wonder...you''re 100% set on that SS setting right? If so, is it possible to have Ari ship you a setting to take around and look at loose stones with? Even if it''s not the actual setting you end up with (in terms of the right size head, etc.)? That way you could pop loose stones into it and see what it will really look like? Just a thought...

And yes, I WOULD see "that chip", no doubt! But really, you should look at the stone(s) with your contacts/glasses, as well as via a loupe. If it looks good through a 10x loupe, I''d be happy with that. It''s not about your "normal vision vs. with glasses", it''s more like you want to SEE what you''re getting, you know what I mean?

Did you try on any settings when you were looking at stones? I know you have your heart set on the one from SS, but it''s always good to see how you feel with a bunch of different setting styles as well.

Were you ever able to get in touch with Peter Suchy? I think I may be going back there this Saturday to make a decision about my wedding ring. We have one on hold there.

Keep us updated. I know it can be terribly frustrating, until you find it!

Surf - Thats a wonderful idea. I''m going to contact SS and see if he has a sample setting that he can ship and I could at least know that I really DO love it and see what it looks like with the stone. It may also get my BF on the ball with shelling out the cash already and making a decision if he sees that whole picture in person.

LV - I did get in touch with Peter. He is very helpful and sent me photos of some stuff but the things he had at the time weren''t exactly my style or they were like 3.5 carats

I do check up on him often to see if he has any new stuff. Good Luck with your wedding bands.
