Hi, everyone.
After looking at all of the beautiful settings that have OEC's, I noticed that the prongs on them go up and over a significant part of the crown which looks really secure to me. So, I was looking at my setting, and the prongs are barely onto the crown
My mounting is a Tacori, and wasn't made for my stone. My question is, do OEC's require setting prongs which are longer that are made to accommodate OEC's with higher crowns? If so, I am thinking I need to have a setting custom made to properly secure my stone, or else have my existing prongs built up which I am not sure that the end result will look good. I have attached my ring which shows the "barely there" prongs. Please provide your thoughts as they will be greatly appreciated.
