need to attend dress fitting
groom needs to rent suits for himself and groomsmen
groom needs to purchase wedding band
need to book hotels for honeymoon
need to mee with DJ so seems to be MIA for the past few months
need to finalize details with officiant
need to finalize details with venue
oh i''m sure there''s more, but i''ll stop for now

Surprising doing OK! Not too stressed.. just booked the honeymoon and picked out the cake over the weekend.

I feel like I have so much to do!

We have to:

- Get my temporary wedding band (custom band will have to wait until after wedding is paid for)
- Order our favors
- Finalize details with bartending service
- Send out paperwork to DJ
- Figure out what we want to do for ceremony music
- Assemble and mail our invitations (doesn''t need to be done until the end of August)
- Start getting everything in place for seating chart
- Figure out how we are going to lay out the tables
- Take a dry run through of the trip from the Chapel to the Venue to make sure the directions are spot on
- Finalize the menu for our rehersal dinner
- Design, print and send the invitations to rehersal dinner
- Pick out the colors for napkins and chair sashes
- Start to figure out dates final payments are due
- Get our parents gifts
- Write our Ceremony and Vows
- Send out application for one day license to perform the marriage for our friend who is acting as the officiant
- Get the continers for the candy buffet
- Order the candy for the candy buffet
- Book our minimoon flights
- Get a confirmation of which members of the bridal party want to have hair and make-up done the day of
- Get my hair and make-up trial
- Arrange for overnight boarding of our dog

Annnnnndddd that is all I can think of right now. Phew! I don''t want to think of anything more!!!

had a mini freak out last night. calmer today!
october 3rd- two months to the day, ff!

-ordered centerpieces/flowers over the weekend. my mom is contributing here, so i don''t have much say but i''m happy with the outcome and i''ll have to post pictures. they look great.
-2 groomsmen need fitted
-order BP gifts
-make earrings/necklaces for BP
-make table numbers/display
-make favors (gourmet carmel apples)
-plan/book honeymoon
-send out invites (tomorrow goes the first round)
-attend final fitting
-run-through hair and make-up
-final meeting with caterer
-draft photography list
-meet with DJ to pick out songs
-order FG dress!

October 10 for me!! I feel like I''m on top of things at this point. Invitations just went out yesterday

I finished the registry last night. My dad, bro and FFIL still need to be measured for their tuxes. We''re meeting with our DJ this month sometime to go over what music we want to hear and what we don''t want to hear. We''re supposed to meet with our pastor this month too for pre-marriage counseling. I''m contacting my seamstress on September 1 to schedule fittings for my dress. I need to figure out when and where to get our marriage license too. We''re not doing programs since most people drop them and step on them or trash them anyway. My biggest concern is the day of timeline...I have no idea how to start. I''ve never been in a wedding so I don''t know what I''m doing when it comes to this! Oh and my hair and make-up, no clue there either!! So besides that we''re just waiting on RSVPs to come back so we can start on the seating chart and favors.

Yay for October! It is right around the corner!

Anyone else getting married on October 17??

Right now, I''m working on getting our invitations addressed and ready to go and working on our programs.

I still need to have my dress fitting, still waiting for BM dresses to come in (should be here this week or next!), GM need to get measured, still need to pick up a few gifts, have meetings with all vendors to finalize details, and have hair/make-up trial. At this point, I just hope I''m not forgetting things!

We can''t wait!!!!

my shower was so fun and i''m currently working on my thank you notes. i am waiting for my sister to send me photos from her camera so i can upload some to share.

i check my registry every now and then and i actually received a few items from there at my shower. two other gifts are sitting at FI''s mom''s house. i''m really amazed at how generous everyone is.

What is a good "reply by" date for 10/24 wedding? I was thinking October 1st since we have until one week before to give our final headcount.

October 10!!! Hi all you October ladies! Feeling good, sent out our lovely DIY invites last week, and have been sent so many emails about how lovely they were wich was nice!
We ordered our rings over the weekend, so I am without my ering for a week while they make my wedder to match

every now and then I forget and panic that I have lost it! We finished our gift registry.. which wasnt an terrible task, but not as fun as I had hoped.
Almost everything done... still got to finalize the bouquet order, MC''s tasks, vows, shoes, underwear, music (we are doing our own ipod/laptop music for the night)... and im sure there is more! Getting my alterations and fitting done in Sept so will take pics to show you all, and have hair/ make up trial too.

What on earth are we all going to do once this is all over?! I will need a new hobby I think!

Right now it's smooth sailing (I hope!!)....after lots of drama between my mom and FI's family and me getting stuck in the middle

. Some people just can't stand it if they aren't the center of attention and then they have to play the victim! Haha. So my bachelorette party consisted of FMIL and 2 bridesmaids...missing mom, MOH and one other bridesmaid. They threw the party together at the last minute and also same with the bridal party. Who knows if/when that is going to happen.... The wedding is less than a month away now! We're doing our last meeting with the coordinator at our venue tonight. I had my first dress fitting last week and will have my second fitting on Sept 30th. It will be ready for me to pick up on Oct 8th

Only a few RSVPs to wait for...3 couples and 2 single guests. Getting close now!!! How is everyone else?

buy his suit
my shoes, accessories, undergarments
final meeting with wonderful god-send caterers
hire pianist for pre-ceremony reception

organize and pay for all rentals (wine glasses, linens, etc)
plan layout and decorate the reception
vows and programs
marriage license
get officiant officiated - a friend is tying our knot
buy wedding bands
book hotel at the 1st honeymoon night

er...yeah....i''m on it and whatever doesn''t get done, i''m counting on it not having been critical. that''s what i''m telling myself.

oh good luck, charbie and rhbgirl24, on your dress alterations! i went to my final dress fitting on tuesday, i'm hippy so the dress fit perfectly on my waist and hips, i just needed some hemming, bustling and work done on the top portion, and i pick it up the wednesday before the wedding. i can't believe it's coming so soon!
