I feel so bad for him. It''s like he''s an orphan. And yes, I know he has other family but losing parental people is so rough and lonely. I feel like I''m in the same boat with the exception of my Aunt who is the most wonderful person on the planet and the fact that she has lung cancer scares the living **** out of me every day because I''m afraid of being left "alone" (yes, I''m being totally selfish, I want her to live forever!!).
 
I just saw. How sad...at least he went with his gut and went to visit her last week.
 
I''m sure he just wanted her to see his accomplishment.
Very sad timing, indeed.
 
I know. This is so sad. I know how he feels. My grandmother died the day she was supposed to meet my 4 month old baby for the first time ON Mother''s Day. My grandma was pretty out of it by then so I was sad but not as much as if I knew she was looking forward to it.

This is so tragic, on so many levels.

Wishing him peace and strength to get through all this, and a win tomorrow night. What a perfect tribute that would be to her.

So so sad. I feel for Sen. Obama and his family. To be so close to a life long dream and goal and then to experience such a profound loss. I''m really glad he was able to spend a few days with her before she passes.

Yeah, having lost my mom so recently, I feel so much for him. It''s just heartbreaking that she didn''t see the election. I can''t imagine what he''s going through right now, with the grief AND the focus he MUST keep. Man....
