Obama''s ''Flat Stanley'' letter

I''m currently working on a Flat Stanley letter from some 4th graders, and saw that Obama received one and REPLIED! There''s a link to the text of his actual letter in the "Related Links" section. Obama is such a wonderful person to take the time out of his day and respond. There were so many famous people that this class contacted, and he was the only one who replied. It really resonated with me. Made me very happy he won the election. The fact that he takes time out to do things like this doesn''t support the idea that he''s arrogant at all.

Thanks. I sent this to a friend who was telling me this morning that she has been trying to contact Obama about a cause that she is working on with hunger and she was commenting on how intimidating it is to contact him and even more so now that he is President-elect.

Isn''t it great!? I love the text of the letter; it was so cute, about taking Stanley to the gym and him getting squished by a dumbbell! hehe! And about offering to take him to Chicago to meet his family, but Stanley wanted to stay in DC to do tourist stuff. I was giggling so hard!!
