So, I highly doubt that he was just sitting on the beach on vacation (isn't he in the BVI?) and was like "Hey, I'm going to issue a statement to piss everyone off." He was probably being hounded by people for a comment. He gave one. How is saying "the president fundamentally disagrees with the notion of discriminating against individuals because of their faith or religion" fueling any fire? How is saying he supports Americans exercising their constitutional rights fueling a fire?

America is a republic, which means it not a democracy, although we are considered a democratic/republic.. which means we are governed by laws - check and balances. There is no law that says President Obama has to be quiet when he sees a wrong.. remember he was a 'community activist' (code name for a eek! socialist, back in the day anyway, I read this on Town Caller )

I really don't think you want to be throwing the hypocrite label around. Especially since you get up in arms about "keeping borders safe" from "terrorists", but have no complaints about all the radical christian white men who kill people. Not to mention your constant "nannying" of others while you cry foul when we use the dreaded p-word. So I'd tread a bit more carefully with that word.
