BAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAAA!

This is, hands down, the best thread in this entire forum. No crumbs about it.

Ditto! Props to MaggieB! This thread is amazing!

But I am seriously DYING for a chocolate chip cookie now! Unfortunately, the only chocolate chip cookies I like are my mom''s and my older sister''s, because no one makes them better!

Awwww, thanks guys!

If we win tomorrow, let''s all celebrate by downing a warm chocolate chip cookie. Dunked in politically correct, hormone-free, free-range American cow milk!

I am in!!

Count me in! But I think it will have to be a chocolate chip cookie from someone besides my REPUBLICAN MOM AND REPUBLICAN OLDER SISTER! Something tells me they won''t feel like baking cookies for me so I can play!

Look guys, as I think anyone who has read my posts recently will know, I''m not in the best of moods. And I love you all but I''m NOT going to submit to this much group-think, OK???? I will be having MY cookies at room temp, thank you very much. I don''t like warm chocolate chip cookies - I like biting into the cooled chocolate and a slightly crunchy cookie - not the gooey kind, and I dont'' feel I should have to justify that to anyone. And I might not even have any milk....

I wasn''t going to tell anyone this, but the outcome of our cookie dunking is too important, and this statement really just pushed me over the edge. Ksinger bakes with domestic terrorists, and this proves that she doesn''t see cookies the same way we do.

There''s your October surprise, a few days late.

OMG.....thing2....there are tears... can''t stop laughing....

I''ll make cookies for EVERYONE!!!!!! However my favorite chocolate chip cookies are soft and cakey, and I believe that these are on the low priority list of the spectrum of chocolate chip cookies.

Since you''re baking them, I''ll let you in on a little secret: I''m with ksinger! I like my cookies cold and crisp!

And...I''m lactose intolerant, so I''ll be dipping my cookies in the breakfast elixir of the elite: SOY MILK!

This is very upsetting for me, and I take it very seriously. Obama does not think that chocolate Chip Cookie dough is a chocolate chip cookie. He thinks that only fully cooked chocolate chip cookies count as cookies, and I am so ill. How could he think this? It''s clearly a chocolate chip cookie long before that, and he just doesn''t respect the sanctity of cookiehood. It really disgusts me. I will be protesting tomorrow with photos of cookie dough in various stages to demonstrate that THEY ARE COOKIES TOO!

A new acquaintance of mine started to tell me a naughty story the other day but she stopped because she wasn''t sure if I would be offended. I had to tell her that seriously nothing offends me and she could pretty much say anything to me!

I'm glad someone finally brought up this issue because I didn't want to open this can of worms... My issue has nothing to do with hot cookies, cold cookies or what color the chips are. What I want to know is why, during this entire elections season, nobody has once mentioned the lack of including brownies into the debate discussions. I mean really, marginalizing the brownie is just morally wrong. What could be MORE AMERICAN than the BROWNIE??? This nation is supposed to be a melting pot of all kinds of baked goods, not just cookies. We all know what color most cookies are, right? PEOPLE, WAKE UP! A crime against brownies is being perpetrated right before your noses and all you can see is COOKIES?!? Are you kidding me? Think about how the brownies in your neighborhoods will feel, knowing that their thoughts, feelings and desires aren't even included in the national discourse. They have critical issues they're dealing with, like whether or not to include walnuts and if so, should they be organic walnuts, imported walnuts or walnuts grown with pesticides and if they go with imported, how will that affect our fragile economy? And dont even get me started on the brownie vs. blondie debate because that will just get ugly very quickly.

Forget the cookies, they have way too much representation on the national stage. Every ad is cookie-this and cookie-that. Enough already with the cookies. I want to see where the brownie stacks up on the Obama/Biden platform. Too much is at stake to take a wait and see approach. We need to act now. Call your local congressional representative and tell them you want to see brownies put on the national debate docket. Next to cookies, not before or after them.

There, I've said my peace. I'm going now.

ETA: ksinger, I think it's really out of line to even bring the issue of milk into this debate. I mean, this entire thread could disintegrate into an ugly color-issue of white vs. chocolate and that's just such an ugly place to take this conversation, dont you think?

Did anyone see in the news how his campaign had Girl Scouts removed from his rally for wearing their uniforms??? They were in the section behind the podium, and the campaign volunteers obviously felt that the uniform wearing girl scouts went against the image that Obama is trying to portray. So much for his platform on diversity...

Et tu Moon?? Fine. I''m sick to death of all this chest-beating, in-your-face brand of warmcookieism. Is it only that narrow definition of cookie loving that is allowed these days?? I love my cookies as much as the next person, I just don''t like the blatant gooey-chip-waving variety. I don''t know why people can''t see that a dislike of massive displays of warm cookies does NOT automatically mean you harbor cookie-hating tendencies. How does the saying go? Warmcookism is the last refuge of bad bakers?? And so we see...
38.gif

And If Obama doesn''t win this election I may move to somewhere where they have cookies AND decent PASTRY. Maybe France?

Well it''s not a melting pot anymore! The mixing bowl is overflowing! For all I care, the brownies can go back where they came from! Too many chefs spoil the broth, and too many desserts spoil this country! The brownies need to start being more like chocolate chip cookies! Maybe if they tried to blend in a little more and speak the language we would include them!

Im with you, Thing. Surfgirl clearly isn't from one of the Pro-Chocolate Chip Cookie parts of the country, where bakers are hardworking and patriotic. Our founding fathers were very Pro-Choco Chip, and all of this historical revisionism is frankly alarming. Every Sunday, I take my kids to the bakery and buy them chocolate chip cookies so that they will have a strong cookie compass and foundation. Otherwise, kids will grow up and eat just any kind of cookie. I mean, people can eat what they want to eat, but that's just not how I was raised, and I don't want radicals telling me how to raise my kids. I really think that Chocolate Chip only education is what is in the best interest for Children, they are so impressionable. I only had chocolate chip cookies before I was married, and I turned out just fine. All of these children out there experimenting with cookies, and eating everyones cookies... wild cookie parties...

Horrifying. They probably don't even practice safe snacks.

HAHAHAHAHA! Safe snacks! You are killing me here, trill!

This JUST IN!

Obama''s Chocolate Chip Cookies are NOT KOSHER!!! REPEAT, Obama hates Jewish cookies!

What about nuts in these cookies? Suspicious, I see NO mention of them.....

Oh my gosh. Kosher cookies. Nuts. I CAN''T TAKE IT!!!!

They found a Gingerbread Man strung up in the Keebler tree today ... what is this nation under crumbs coming to??

ETA: Oh, and what of the hand-in-hand beverage debate. I hear only "poors" drink Kool Aid with their cookies. Those making over 250K a year (& Joe The Plumber) drink lily white MILK.

Before you eat those cookies, check them out first! I heard someone got crazy money selling a cookie on Ebay with an shadowy image of "the One" on it.

Power of Suggestion...... I''m weak!

Hey now! You can''t blame the pastry chefs for making chocolate chip cookies when the demand is there.

Accuse the consumers, but back off the providers!

And Starship...How dare you not give equal opportunity to all types of cookies! And pastry for that matter!

I am crossing over and getting brownies now.
