NYC proposal/Jamaica Bay area

Hey all. My girlfriend is going away for a little while this summer (out of the country) and will be returning over the weekend in July. She''ll be flying into JFK, not sure what time though. I''m looking for some locations where I can arrange something personal. Any ideas for those of you familiar with this area of the city? I was looking into the local parks, but don''t know how hard it would be to have a private location during this time. Since it''s going to be a long flight I''m thinking about setting up a little picnic, etc. I''m waiting to find a location to work more details out. Also, closing might be a problem if she flies in near dusk. Thanks in advance!
