Just call and ask if the jeweler made that particular setting that you wanted. Don't panic until you get your answer (and then only if the answer is no).

What I'd be more concerned about is whether they were going to set your diamond in that sample setting.

sorry - just saw this now! I suggested that they just set it in the sample setting bc I loved it so much but they pushed me not too because they said it will look best to have the setting custom made to fit the center stone (the sample held a 2 carat CZ and my stone is also a 2 carat but I guess the measurements might still be off?)..I also requested certain minor changes to the original...why? do you think the sample setting is shit? lol

No, but unless the ring was your exact size and the stone it held was the exact same size, I would want it custom made for my stone and finger size. So in any event, it is good they recommended doing it the right way to get you a new ring made just for you!
