Ok, well this is timely because I JUST ordered a new Value box of Pampers Cruisers from Diapers.com and they are the sucky new ones. Thin, skimpy and cheap...all at a premium price..in the same box (very sneaky)! What the heck is this??

Can anyone vouch for the next best thing..I don''t mind paying more. From this thread I''m gathering that Seventh Generation, Earth''s Best maybe? Target seems to be getting mixed reviews. Huggies I don''t love and sounds like Kirkland are the same? They just seem kind of stiffer than the Pampers.

Help! Well I guess I have some time since I have 140 of these ones to get through..

Oh and before this (see prior post) I was very loyal to Pampers. From Swaddlers on including the Wipes.

Thanks goodness that the swaddlers are still the same. I LOVE them. I used to LOVE the cruisers too, but the new ones without the mesh lining is horrible. It''s not keeping Meena dry like the old ones. She got a couple diaper rashes from them already, and it''s not b/c we waited a long time to change her wet diapers. I will switch to the Baby Dry after we are done with our two boxes, and also try out different brands to find a better diaper.

Are the Baby Dry ones decent?

PS I''m calling Pampers Customer Service on Monday (closed today). Will let you all know what they say or if it would make a difference if people formally voiced their unhappiness! I mean it seems pretty universally hated judging from our little PS world here..

The Baby Dry ones is like the new Cruisers, except the absorbent section goes all the way up the back. It''s not as soft as the Cruisers, but it does its job.

In March, Pampers is going to sell the new Cruisers with Dry Max technology. It''s supposed to be thinner but more absorbent than the current Cruisers, and it supposed to lock in wetness for 12 hours (their words). I hope they are better than the current Cruisers. I requested for the free samples to try them out.

We usually use Pampers or Huggies for our son. Sometimes we buy the cheap store brand though. If I have coupon for the Pampers or Huggies then we will buy those, otherwise we get the cheap ones. My husband is a diaper snob and likes Pampers Baby Dry.

We tried the Up&Up brand (Target) and did not like them at all. They were thin and leaked. We also had problems with the tabs coming off and not keeping the diaper on.

We''ve also tried the Kroger brand (Comforts) and they are similar to Huggies. Liked them and are cheap.

We tried the Meijer brand too, and they are similar in design to the Pampers line. Also cheap.

For nighttime only Huggies Overnites will do. James pees so much at night still that he will wet through sometimes.

As far as wipes go we usually buy the Pampers Sensitive fragrance-free ones. We always buy the big boxes and stock up since we use them at changes and also for wiping off hands, James'' face, etc.

Sounds like a big marketing scam. Good idea on the free samples though!!

We used and loved Pampers until size 3 and had to deal with almost daily blowouts. They just didn''t fit his body well anymore (was this too early for the "new" Pampers?). Now, we use Huggies.

We use the Huggies that we buy from Costco. I''ve tried other diapers when I ran out of the Huggies as emergency diapers because I didn''t feel like fighting through the Costco crowd just to buy diapers, but I''ve never found one that works as well as the Huggies. One box usually lasts us about a month and I don''t have to worry about sales. Sometimes they have the coupons for $9 off if we buy the diapers and wipes. I''m not too fond of the melon scented wipes, but we buy them with the coupon, just because of the price. I don''t change their diapers during the night, just once right before I put them down and again when they wake up in the morning and I usually don''t have a problem with leakage or rashes. They do sometimes leak, but it''s usually because the diaper is too small, and when that happens, we just buy the next size up and it''s fine.

Ok so for those interested, I called Pampers regarding the new Cruisers and got a hard marketing sell on how it''s the latest technology and they''ve removed some of the padding but replaced with high tech something or other to allow superior absorption. The mesh is gone but replaced with a lining.

I told her bottom line these diapers are skimpy like paper towels and are leaking which is the whole point of an effective diaper (duh). Why mess around with the old product! She said she''d pass along my comments to the "quality assurance team". Oh and the "dry max" technology is in all new Cruisers even though the packaging does not advertise it (ie this is as "good" as they''re going to get).
Feel free to call Pampers to voice your discontent (1800 PAMPERS) since they make take it into account and who knows, bring back the old version.

They are not messing with the swaddlers so they must realize some things should stay as is!

Guess what?

We got the new design

.

Awful for overnight. Ok during the day because she isn't mobile yet. Funny that diapers called "cruisers" wouldn't work when the baby is actually cruising

But I did read on another site that Pampers Extra Protection are excellent for overnight diapers. They're expensive though (27 for $10) but supposedly it helps with leaks overnight. I figure it may be worth a try for those of you that are closer to potty training. I can't get a bunch of small packs for us.

Yeah, they''re bad. I honestly don''t get how they couldn''t have known during QA!

It''s so bad, I''m thinking about starting potty training boot camp in about 2 weeks....

DF,
Are you preparing for grandchildren?

We use the Pampers Extra Protection for Kyle overnight, he was overflowing diapers at like 6 months

. They work awesome, worth every penny in not having to do extra laundry!

My daughter uses Bum Genius cloth diapers, and Pampers Cruisers for car trips.
We are using the Bum Genius washable diapers as well, and we love them! I always have some disposables on hand just in case (for trips, visits and stuff) too, Huggies brand.
