Weird.
It is flipping between PS 1.0 and 2.0 today.

The new one requires too much scrolling.

Hey, now's your chance to say something that will soon vanish.

Now, haven't you always wanted to tell me what you really think of me?

Yup, and if you want to reply you have to scroll through the whole thread??? Annoying.

With 2.0 we have to scroll a lot because they made it too narrow - perhaps so it fits on iPads.

I like old PS better. I agree about the scrolling thing. The coloring also hurts my eyes, and is less clean and streamlined than PS now.

I found PS vs2 to be WAY too slow!
Why not just keep it as is but add only certain enhancement?
My postings from yesterday are all gone ! (SAD)

I like the old one too

But yours is cool too.

FWIW my avatar is not an Octavia pic that I took.
It is a digital image that Karl created of the Octavia.
I love it and am happy Karl lets me use it.

Newer is not always better.

I like the old PS format, also. I think the topics are more distinctly separated on the old version, and I like how you can see the beginning of the thread content by hovering your cursor over the subject line before opening the thread. On the new version, you have to open the thread to start reading it. I think the long response time on the new version is probably just a glitch that needs to be worked out. On the other hand, I do like the wealth of additional information on the new version.

I agree that the slow response time is probably just a glitch and will soon be corrected. I do think the new PS offers more information and is easier to navigate for people researching. However, for those of us who spend a good amount of time in the cafe, it''s a little more difficult. For example the threads that have pages and pages of posts were very hard to get through yesterday. I did think it was more difficult to physically read too. And, on my screen, I had to scroll left and right to get the entire post.

I have faith that these little things are what they''re working out now. And, really, this site is about education. I think the educational value in the new site is awesome.

I second that emotion. Frustrating.

I think PS 2.0 needs some work, but I''m sure our mods know that.

I like this version better also. 2.0 version was a bit confusing to navigate.

I could reply in the same way I always did, by clicking on the upper right of someone''s response... not sure what you all are referring to?

I agree! I do like being able to add multiple photos to a single post from v. 2.0. If we added that feature to the "old PS," it'd be ideal! IMO, of course.

I'm sure after the bugs are worked out and we get used to it we will all be singing Kumbaya again.

I think the colours on the new site are a bit too bright and ''contrasty''. The mix of the blue, red, and white makes it harder to read and navigate, IMO. I much prefer the muted greys on here.

I didn''t get a chance to check anything out so can''t comment on the new features.

1.0 is dated... but it''s not broken!!!!!

lol 2.0 was not my friend

Me too.

Well, you all are doing way better than me-I never even got to see it!

while sometimes i think change can just be annoying until i get used to it, in this case, i found 2.0 to be a real annoyance: translate to "not user friendly".....however, i liked the look of it!

glad to back on 1.0 until 2.0 is "fixed".

I think there was a group of us that didn''t get the switch back to 1.0 for a long time. I kept getting emails from the thread I subscribed to but going to the thread and not seeing anything. Finally figured out I was still seeing the new version lol.

Anyway, I actually prefer the newer version way more if they fix all the glitches. LOVE that I can use html codes. I wouldn''t even have to upload photos if I can use html codes.

I like the old version better too....I find the new one hard to read!!

I''ve been trying to log in all afternoon with 2.0. It let me log in but then I couldn''t actually post a reply to anything. Odd. I thought I''d give it another try just now, and SURPRISE! The old version is back. I know kinks are probably being worked out.

I logged onto P2 today and then could not post AT ALL. It took me back to some weird screen every single time.

And is the reply button really only at the very bottom of all the posts? That is awful.

I hate to say it, but I really, really didn''t like it. The other thing I noticed (and maybe I''m wrong), but could you not "preview" a thread by hovering over it like you can now? Annoying!!

Huh -- I didn''t see anything to click on. I had to scroll down to the bottom of the page, but then it wouldn''t let me.

I couldn''t even play in the new pricescope b/c it kept timing out when I would try to log-in...

When 2.0 was up I could see threads, log in and see my preferences but I could not post.
