I''ve been thinking about this for a while ...

I have a friend (well aquaintence) who got married about three or four years ago when she was 21.

Her favour comment after she got married was ... "Now that I''m a wife" usually in the context of "Now that I''m a wife ... I really don''t think that would be aappropriate"

This use to just make me go

because it was never just any serious just more I shouldn''t be seen here,or be seen wearing that ect.

So tell me girls what is the one thing/s you WON''T change after you get married??

I''ll start
- I will not be changing the way I dress. I love fashion and nothing I wear is ever revealing or super young (read 16) so I will continue to dress exactly the same (with a passion for fashion)

Somehow i don''t think my house keeping skills will get any better like i thought (hoped) they would when i finally become a wife.

i wish they would though!!

I''ll only ask people to call me by my new last name.

Everything else about me will stay the same.

Very strange of her to change anything now that she''s married. I don''t get that at all.

Once I am a wife I will not change a thing. The first time I got married I stopped dressing in certain things and toned down my makeup. It was all part of his controlling behavior though.

This time, I''m staying me and sticking to it :) The only thing chaning is my last name which I am happy to give up and the fact that I''ll be wearing a ring when I really don''t like them.

+1

Pretty much nothing has changed. I still do everything I used to do before I was married. I''ve always liked being in a monogamous relationship, and I still do all the things I like to do with my "me" time, like exercise, shop, read, etc...

Now that I''m a wife I will no longer call myself his "girlfriend" or "fiancee".

Other than that, it''s all the same.

Well said Haven.

FI has joked that when I become his wife, he will miss having a girlfriend so he was thinking bout getting one of those!

I used to say, "I''m involved with someone, I don''t think that would be appropriate."

Now, if it''s applicable, (probably because it''s still new) my reply is to point to my wedding ring with a big goofy grin :D

Otherwise nothing has changed.

If any of you read the WoW thread a while back, (might have been over in the LIW forum) this anecdote will make sense. I was reading a book one night and my husband was trying to get through a dungeon. He kept complaining about the healer. I turned to him and said, "I''ll come heal." I logged on, we ran the instance and the group leader said, "Nice heals." and my husband replied, "My wife is teh best healer." I just sat there with an ear to ear smile.

That might have been a little off-topic but I had a sudden compulsion to put it here.

Nothing important has changed, all we did was compare car and health insurance stuff to see who's had a better deal and switched both of us onto it.

I might change my name later, but just can't quite face the paperwork right now

yes! i will be so happy not to say fiance.

i will never have to get in on the action of a bouquet toss again.

i WILL get to be a part of the anniversary dance at weddings though :)

I will do EVERYTHING the same. I hope he does too!

Great replies everyone, it''s nice to see that no-one plans on making any major changes
