@missy Marty said it was like Wyoming in Kansas today - windy. I didn’t send it his way, it’s still here. I guess Marty’s class went well. Tomorrow will be his last class but he doesn’t fly out until late on Saturday. He said he’s ready to come home. I am not surprised your mom doesn’t want to hire someone or ask someone to for help. That generation seems reluctant to do that and I get it. But we sure wish they would. And I remember my parents both got selfish, but I get that too. Any outcome is not pleasant. Before they reach that stage, they’d want you to continue living your life and not giving up things for them, but their aging minds seem to change that. That is a LONG time to go without a hair cut. I go about every 8 weeks. TBE is on rural and private roads. I think most of what was on the road though was from drifting. The HOA fee supposedly pays for road maintenance. Yay that Greg got a good health report card. He studied. Good luck with your appointments. Look at all those cute feral enjoying Chez Missy and Greg’s great outdoors.
@mrs-b big hugs you lost your parents at a young age. That’s rough. But as you said, dealing with aging parents is rough too. Neither is pleasant. Your 21st party had to be difficult, such a hard thing to deal with at such a young age. Thanks for sharing their story with us. Big hugs to you. Happy birthday to Eleanor and nice David is coming to visit. I am used to the weather in Wyoming, but I can’t say I like it. I’m still always cold. I miss Marty a lot. I usually am okay the first week, after that I’m not a fan. I’ve been having lunch or supper with friends to amuse myself. Marty said today he was ready to come home. I did run out to TBE and there was more dirt pile and a few more tractors but it looked the same to me. The house our builder started on the next lot is starting to get framed. So hopefully ours will join in on that fun soon. Nice your townhouse is easy to get out of, I hope our house sells at just the right time. We will see. Best wishes to Eleanor getting her foot in the door somewhere as an illustrator for children’s books. I’m looking forward to your CADs. Good luck with all of your tests and glad to hear your mammogram was clear.
@MamaBee I am glad the hicaway helped. I hope you are feeling better. Good luck with the doctor tomorrw and I hope they figure out what’s going on with you. I sure hate to hear your mom isn’t doing well. Big hugs to both of you.
@Austina there’s sure a huge fire going on in Texas. And yes, I did another interview today and edited the entire video down to a little over 2 minutes. This time I made sure to keep my mouth shut so I didn’t have to deal with cutting myself out of their answers. See, I can learn something. I do remember your friends who sold their house to the buyers from hell. It’ll be nice to go visit them. Your life is about as exciting as mine. I cleaned some things out of the pantry.
@canuk-gal I hate to hear what you and your sisters went through as well with your mom. It’s hard and we can only do what we can and what help they’ll accept. And I am sorry you lost your dad at such a young age. So much heartache comes with life. I do okay with the videos, but they still aren’t my favorite. I am getting faster at them though. Nice to go on a sock organization quest and end up with two empty drawers. I still shudder to think of everything we need to do to move.
@bling_dream19 I am glad you are enjoying a slower pace of life. That is nice. Sweet you got your tennis bracelet tightened.

My two interviews went well today. I even got the one edited and hopefully ready to post. I lifted during my lunch and ran out to TBE estate before sunset. I picked up Culver’s on the way home so I plan on knitting and watching TV tonight. I am almost done with the back of my vest.

Yeah, this excitement is something else, I don’t know how I contain myself some days.
Glad you got to the Drs office and back in one piece, although I bet people know how to drive in bad conditions, unlike here, they’re clueless. I hope they can find out what’s going on with you. We’re all leading such exciting lives at the moment, will the fun ever stop? It often takes much longer than we think when we start a ‘small’ job.
