Having lived there for 5 years, we attended this festival, it was a hoot, I have a picture somewhere of me sitting on the big one, lol. They had suckers and everything in both shapes.

Seriously, did you sense Japan to be less prudish about sex than America is?

I'd be interesting in a list of countries by their prudishness regarding sex.
Betcha the least-prudish have fewest teen pregnancies and unwanted babies.
I'd guess America would be near the top, but not at the top with Saudi Arabia.

Oh, Hey, I wonder if prudishness coincides with religiosity.

Very interesting about prudishness. I used to come home from school to watch sailor moon in the afternoons on tv. Come to find out years later that the bad blonde with a ponytail, zoisite, wasn't a chick as portrayed in the US version.

I guess they didn't think that two dudes in love was acceptable in the US for a children's cartoon.
