I had a previous thread about an HRD stone...https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/please-advise-on-hrd-stone-and-info.93286/(2.02 RB HRD cert J sI2) today a different seller has contacted me with a new stone they have on the way back from GIA. He called and said that he had a new stone, that was cut from rough and they were expecting GIA to grade it as a e-g VS2, and it came back as a G SI1. The only inclusion was white and toward the outer edege and NOT near the table, nor visible to the naked eye. He also commented that is was a triple excellant and they offer me a great deal. I have a deposit on the afore mentioned HRD stone of $2200 from another seller, and nto sure if that deposit would be refundable or not. While so far I have NO reason not to like it, this new option seems like a good deal if it all checks out well am turnig to you guys and gals for advice. There is still some measurments and details that I dont know, and I have yet to see this inperson but can soon if need be. But I am wondering, if 8.19mm is spready for 2.02 ct, (as commented on the HRD) than how can this GIA stone make sense? Its (supposedly) an excellant cut but measures larger overall at less ct weight??? Am I missing something here? Anyways heres the details, tell me what you guys and gals think...

. But I do know you can''t really tell much without crown and pavilion angles. GIA triple excellent means zilch really. My triple excellent is currently being recut because I didn''t know enough about crown and pavilion angles before I made the purchase. I bought a steep and deep stone with LOTS of leakage under the table, graded EX by the GIA of course. That''s not to say they''re all bad, because some are superb, just make sure before you buy. I don''t want anyone making the mistake I did.

Like Kelli said you need crown and pavilion numbers.

Nos, the diameters are fine, as you know HRD don''t provide the angles, so again a Sarin if available could give that info.
