Not wanting kids

Kenny - how does your partner feel about having children?

He has wanted them a great deal from the day we met.
I told him I did not want them and if he wants them we should not remain together.
He stayed, but he still wants them.
I should add, this is not a crisis.
It is just there under the surface.
I know it is not healthy for him, but what can I do?

Would you ever consider leaving him? Or has it ever crossed your mind?
I know that's a really personal and delicate question...but I did wonder...
It's probably something I would think about if I were in the same situation...

No, I'm not the one dissatisfied.
But if he just came home one day with a kid. . . yes.
That would be it.
I wasn't kidding; I'm not parent material.

Interesting.

There''s a part of me that would consider leaving to make sure the person pursues what I know is what they really want. Yet...why should anyone take on that responsibility for someone else?

Well apparently what he really wants is me.
He's still here.

Lot's of us want things; what we actually take action to get is another matter.
