The storm seems to be winding down now, but please everyone BE CAREFUL. The weather has been terrible in the last day or so in the northeast, and I just found out two people who were very prominent in the community I used to live in were killed yesterday when a tree fell on them. I saw tons of trees fall down and power is out all over. These two men had wives and families (with young kids) and it''s just such a tragedy... my thoughts and prayers go out to them.

(JTA) -- Two Orthodox Jewish men returning from a New Jersey synagogue after evening services were killed by a falling tree.
The accident occurred Saturday night in Teaneck when a large oak tree that could not withstand the force of powerful winds fell, also knocking down power lines.
Heavy rain accompanied the winds, which reached 60 mph. The storm knocked out power and downed trees throughout the New York metropolitan area.
