Hehe, thanks ephemery & tacori! I am soooo a proud mother, I just couldn''t stop posting!
And so funny that Maya does that too! Albi has taken to jumping and hiding in the bag whenever we walk vaguely in her direction, as if we''re going to attack her if she doesn''t hide NOW! It is the cutest thing ever! Hehe, although she actually used to do sort of the same thing with jumping on her bed (one of those round fake sheepskin things) and ducking her head down as if we couldn''t see her....while she was in plain sight.
Tacori - post pics of Grayson!!!
I''d love to see how Albi''s internet-twin is doing!
And just how big he is...our vet told us Albi is probably going to stay a very small cat, but all I see now are full grown cats who are HUGE compared to her, so I can''t imagine if she''s actually small for her age or not!
Albi your baby is sooooo sweet! I just want to squeeze her and love her and keep her foever!
(That''s from a Bugs Bunny episode with the Abdomiable(sp) Snowman where he just loved Bugs Bunny ever so much
)
Anyway, My two girls are both very tiny, especially compared to their "cousins" Hooper and Dylan (see pictures posted earlier), so I wouldn''t worry about her size. Most females are smaller in stature.
Okay, now that I learned how to use the digtal camera, I snapped a couple of not-great pictures of my kitties! We had our last brother/sister pair for close to 15 years! They were beautiful, a yellow long hair and a tortoiseshell. But after the last of the pair died last summer, I said no more kitties. Our youngest is clearly allergic to them and we simply couldn''t have more indoor cats. But within a week, our older daughter had found a pair of stray kittens and begged me to keep them! So, not being able to turn away stray animals, babies, or diamonds, I gave in. They are outdoors but they are wonderful and stay right near the house. We have a garage for shelter for them. Anyway, I didn''t take but one picture each just to post them on here quickly (since I have two diamonds to decide between tonight!. Oh, and my disclaimer is, I did not name the cats! The calico is Sassy and the black and white, Socks. Socks was named when we thought she was a boy! Sassy is soooo sweet and Socks is a tomboy!
They are beautiful DS! Socks has such a ''cat'' face... so nice... and Sassy! I love that name for a beautiful calico, and boy is she ever a beauty. I love how her orange looks diluted but her black is true black... my Duncan is a diluted orange... he''s well... beige. LOL.
I always, always, always wanted a calico. Then like I said, within a week after our much loved house cat died, in comes a calico! So what could I say?!! I'll try and get a picture of Sassy looking at the camera next time! I love that tan color of your cat in the avatar!
I want a calico too and a grey cat with green eyes... but as we don''t pick our cats... I don''t know if a calico or a green eyed gray will pick us. You never know though.
My cats pics (including the larger version of the AV pic) are on page 39 of this thread toward the botttom, BTW. If you are curious. I have a black and white too. She''s a tomboy and a TERROR. Dee Jay''s Demon Dog and my Hurricane Hally ... the PS canine/ feline dastardly duo!
Awww, they are really cute, Gypsy! Maybe the black and white female combination spells trouble??? One day when I really have time I''ll look through this whole thread! It took me awhile to get through all the pages in that top SMTR thread!
When I was in college I had a studio where the front door was a slilding glass door, and one day I had it cracked and all of the sudden this beautiful medium haired black and white cat walks in. I checked her tag. Her name? Trouble. LOVED IT! I have to say from my experience ALL Black and Whites, male or female are trouble. We actually have a no more black and whites bann. Which isn''t a serious one. But well... I can''t imagine cat-proofing my home more than it already is.
Here''s one of him when we first got him (he was a year old when we adopted him) -- he looks so cute in his collar but he hated it so he doesn''t wear it anymore.
this is one of my ''kittens''....was born sometime in 1998, showed up on my hillside all beaten and torn up without hardly any hair and a hairless tail. he now has a plume tail but you won''t know it from this picture.
movie zombie
ps his name is c.b. cebastian and he is named for the toy maker in BLADE RUNNER.
wow...I can''t believe I totally missed this thread. I LOVE cats!! Everybody''s babies are SO CUTE
Its been so much fun looking through them all. Anyway, now that I''ve found it, I thought I''d post a few (well OK maybe more than few, being an obsessive cat-mommy myself) pics of my babies. We got them from a rescue organization when they were 6 months old - they''d already been through two homes and the woman was worried no one would take them because they were getting too old! But we love them - they are such sweethearts. Here is Amber, who is our more social baby, when we first got them (clearly, she had no problem settling in, though from that second picture she might have been a little TOO relaxed...LOL):
We had a lot more trouble coaxing our calico, Gretchen, out of her shell, but now she is super-affectionate, though still shy around strangers. This was their favorite place in our old apartment - looking out the window at the birds
They used to snuggle a lot when we first got them, which was really cute, though they don''t seem to do it any more.
OK, last few I promise - for some reason they both have a thing for sinks
