I saw your post in the other thread about your friend going to a really nice all inclusive in Jamaica and I was hoping you could tell me the name of it. FI and I definitely want something all inclusive, but the ones we''re looking at are all at least 5k. 3k would be much better :), plus it sounds like your friend gave it some good reviews.

Thanks in advance!

Okay... the resort was the Royal Plantation. They stayed for 7 days and went the first part of September. I mention that because I know there is usually a price drop after Labor Day (we delayed our HM for a month to save $1k). Your wedding is in September right? HIGHLY recommend taking a couple days (even a week or two) between... it was so nice to be able to come home, clean up the house (it was a diaster), unwrap and put away the presents and pack. I say pack because I have had several friends that didnt pack for their HM because they were too stressed and someone else did it... NO WAY!

Here are a few pics and what my friend wrote when she sent out pics last year... "Words cannot describe how absolutely SPECTACULAR our trip to Jamaica was. Our hotel was un-be-liev-able... we lived like ROYALTY! We were right on the ocean, were dined with 5-7 course meals. Were served DIRECTLY on the beach (we just had to let them know what we wanted by waving a flag...I KNOW, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?), had free use of kayaks, sailboats, etc. and we just had the time of our lives!"

HTH!

Wow! That place looks awesome! I''ll definitely have to check it out. The wedding is 9/8/07, so it''s after Labor Day, but I believe that it''s also hurricane season. I''m going to have to look into that.

I just saw that too! I just sent FI an email about this place. It looks like we''d save about $1500 if we went there instead of sandals and this one seems to be nicer. I''ve heard some not so good things about sandals'' food too and I know FI is VERY concerned about the food. lol.

Just for the record, we''ve been to a couple of Sandals resorts in Jamaica, and they both had great food. Both times, we stayed for 4 days for under $1k including the flight to the resort, so for the money, it was an incredible deal. We booked through www.funjet.com and have always had wonderful experiences with them.

I will say this, though, that Royal Plantation resort looks like it absolutely blows Sandals out of the water!
