I received my wband last week from Signed Pieces. I absolutely love it. It is a shared prong princess cut eternity band.

Here is my SMTR thread: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/my-facets-shared-prong-eternity-band.81337/

Anyway, I have a couple of questions.

1. Is there something I should do to make sure everything is okay with it? Should I get it checked to make sure that all the diamonds were set properly, etc? I''m not planning on insuring it at this time, but if I got it appraised, could I use that appraisal in the future for insurance or would I have to get it appraised again? Anyway, I don''t think there is anything wrong with it. I am just wondering if there is something I should be doing besides just wearing it!

2. My wband is 3/4 of a size bigger than my ering. I did this on purpose because eternity bands can''t be sized and this gives me a little room to work with in the event of weight gain. Actually, I think the eternity band is only very slightly big, and my solitaire is a bit small (to prevent spinning). Anyway the wband sticks out a little further than my ering. Its not a huge difference, but I want them to look like they go together. And they already are not flush because my solitaire is set so low. Do you think I should resize my solitaire so they are even? I know part of the problem is just that the diamonds stick out high from the eternity band, but I am wondering if sizing up will help a bit.

The SMTR thread shows how they look from the top and here is the difference on the bottom of my hand:

Here''s another.....

I don''t know about re-sizing the e-ring, but you could maybe make the shank thicker so that it sticks out the same distance from your finger??

As for #1, you could take it to a trusted jeweler to have it cleaned, checked but it looks great. If you are not insuring it then wear it w/o worry.

As for #2, I have the same issue. We bought the WB 1st when I was a size 5 then lost a lot of weight after my dad died last year and purchased the e-ring 4.25.
I notice a little difference but its a channel set so it doesn''t really show.

Could you put those bead things on the WB to tighten things up? I probably wouldn''t resize my solitaire since it fits fine.

Since you''re not insuring it right now, I wouldn''t bother with getting an appraisal. Signed Pieces is a trusted vendor, and I''m sure the ring they sent you is exactly as described. But for your own piece of mind, you could probably have an appraiser give it a quick checkover without getting a full appraisal done for a lower cost.

As far as the second issue, I have a three stone ring with an eternity band, and my eternity band like yours sticks out further on the palm side of the finger. My rings are also exactly the same size. I just think this is the nature of eternity bands since the diamonds protrude from the eternity ring a bit higher. I don''t think you should resize your solitaire unless it''s too small on you, and I don''t think it will solve the problem anyway.

Okay, I think I will just take my ring to a local jeweler that I trust, and have them make sure everything is fine. Which I am sure it is! I think Signed Pieces is known for quality eternity bands, that''s why I ordered through them. And my ring is beautiful and perfect.

I''m also not going to do anything about the size difference with my set. The solitaire is not too small, and the eternity band is not too big, and I don''t think anyone will notice anyway. I actually like that the solitaire is a bit smaller because I feel like I won''t lose them.

That''s what I was going to say!
