I know there are a few threads already with Netflix programs, but I was hoping we could start one with only nice programming. I know some may criticize nice as being too vague, but general requirements would be basically no violence or crime. Maybe even something appropriate for children to watch?

I'll start -- this past weekend, we watched Pick of the Litter. My whole family enjoyed it. Highly recommend.

Not for young kids (honest discussions about what got them there), but I found this incredibly engrossing and uplifting. I welled up (er, that is, "something got in my eyes") several times while watching. These guys are amazing!

Frozen.
Love it. Wonderful movie for everyone IMO.

OK I have so many recommendations but will stop with this one.

The Princess Bride

It offers something for everyone and is another feel good movie. Who doesn't love those especially in these surreal times in which we are living.

A netflix series that is really wholesome is The Repair Shop. It's a British program about family heirlooms getting repaired. The look on people's faces when they get their item back is very sweet and the restorers are a lovely bunch of people. Similar vibe to GBBO but without the competition and most of the anxiety. I don't know if it would appeal to children but it's totally kid friendly.

What a nice (ha!) idea for a thread! Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist is a new show that is light and fun and feel-good. Home Town on HGTV always makes me feel good about people. My husband loves a movie he has seen called Yesterday, about a guy who finds himself one of the few people in the world who remember the Beatles existed. People think he is writing these amazing songs like Yesterday. I haven’t seen it yet.
