Hello everyone,
I''ve been searching for the perfect ring and diamond combination for my budget for the last 3 weeks. Upon reaching this site on a recent web search, I did a little looking around and discovered Todd''s Private Reserve list of AGS 0 Ideal round diamonds. Upon inquiring with him about a .76 carat round, he quickly responded that it had sold already and he forgot to remove it. So, I asked him if he had any other .75+ carat G VS2 diamonds available. He said not right at the moment, but he''d keep his eyes open for some that fit his stringent approval criteria. A day or two went by, and I got another email from him about some diamonds he found on other sites that he''d recommend. Unfortunately, the first one was out of my price range. So, then he did some more research and found a diamond closer to my price range from Jonathan @ Good Old Gold. From there, I shared with him a GIA excellent cut .78 carat G VS2 that I was about to purchase from another retailer in combination with a Ritani 1RZ3701 Ring an 23700 band. Todd sent me numerous emails about why the AGS 0 Ideals he and Jonathan believes to deliver a much higher quality diamond. A bit skeptical at first, because he said the diamond I was looking at was not one he''d bring into his private reserve, I continued to listen to his science behind selecting the best possible visually appealing diamonds. He then, since he didn''t have one to provide to me, said Jonathan at Good Old Gold had one that was closer to what I was looking at. Keep in mind, these emails were going back and forth over the weekend, so by the time Monday rolled around I had been well versed so to speak on all the different technologies that Todd uses to select perfect ideal cut AGS diamonds. On Monday or Tuesday I received another email from Jonathan that said he''d begin to address anything else that he saw from Todd''s emails over the weekend, and one of the first things he did was use one of his tools to evaluate the light performance of the diamond I was about to buy with the one he had in stock. It indicated that indeed the GIA excellent cut had a lot more light leakage than the one he had in stock. So, now it was a goal of finding the right diamond for my price range, so Jonathan and Todd have been looking ever since for the perfect .75+ carat H/G VS diamond, and it amazes me how well these two guys work together to make it happen. Jonathan has found a .75 H VS2 diamond that''s he''s calling in to do his 29 point inspection to see if it passes all his criteria for a AGS 0 Ideal cut. If so, he''s got a customer. Plus, it didn''t hurt that he was also a Ritani dealer, so now I can get everything from him, instead of splitting it up between companies.
In the end, this type of customer service and educational approach that both Todd and Jonathan provide is unheard of. I''m a professional salesperson by trade, and it amazes me how much companies take for granted their customers and how to treat them to earn their business. The level of customer service I received from Todd originally, then Jonathan is truly amazing to me, and it doesn''t go unnoticed. After literally struggling with many other vendors searching for the optimum diamond, I''ve come to the conclusion that both Todd from www.niceice.com and Jonathan from www.goodoldgold.com are top of my list for whenever I''m going to need more jewelry.
My hat goes off to both of these guys, and I look forward to doing business with them.
Chris
