Next step after Buying?

First time Diamond buyer here.

I have pull the trigger, what is my next step,what are the insurance option, and advice to any direction I would look into? Open to suggestion and guidance.

If there is a blog or one exist please point me to it, I have try to search the forum but couldn't.

Many people here use Perfect Circle (Jewelers Mutual) for insurance if it is mounted, and even getting an appraisal for the diamond prior to the mounting and with the cost and description of the mounting included so that it can be insured while being set.

You may also want to check with your homeowner's or renter's insurance company. If you are in a smaller residence you may find your insurance more expensive through your homeowner's/renter's insurance than from Perfect Circle, although some of my clients with more expensive and complex insurance policies actually save money through their homeowner's insurance.

These are probably the two most common options you will find here, although there are others out there as well.
