Hello everyone! I have picked this beautiful Henrich & Denzel setting for my engagement/wedding rings. It is platinum with a rose gold interior (I will try to attach a pic). The diamond is bezel set but it is set in kind of a full platinum cup, in otherwords you cannot see the sides or bottom of the diamond, only the top. Is this making any sense? lol Will this affect the performance of the diamond? I appreciate any input.

The better your diamond is cut, the less covering up the bottom of it will matter. Leaky diamonds (ones that need the extra help of light coming in the bottom) apparently don't do quite as well in bezels. I have a pair of beautifully cut small diamonds that are set into full bezels, and I find that they are still quite sparkly.

Garry Holloway once said that he thought that a stone in a bezel setting might emit a bit less fire. This was a while ago, I don't know if he would have any further comments. Maybe he'll chime in.

If you love this bezel setting and your stone is well cut, then you should go with your heart and get it. Bezels are beautiful and the one you have chosen is particularly stunning. My guess is that even if there is a slight reduction in fire, it would be negligible.

Thanks for bringing this designer to our attention!
