Hi.
What do y'all think about this diamond?
diamond_15.png

Specs:
1.3 F SI1 GIA-XXX
7.02-7.06 x 4.3
table - 56%
depth - 61.1%
crown angle- 34.0
pavilion angle - 40.6
culet - none
fluoro - none
HCA - .06
AGA/NAJA - 1A
$8850.00

I have been told the diamond is very, very eye clean for an SI1. The "major" inclusions are twinning wisps and they are not located under the table. Thoughts?

Thanks!

I can easily see the inclusions in the pic but I doubt they would be easily if it all seen IRL. I always advocate for seeing the diamond before it is set, worth sending it back and forth as far as I'm concerned (esp. if you're concerned about color or clarity). It's up to you!

@Asscherhalo_lover - Thanks for your input! I have viewed a 3D picture of the diamond and can not detect the inclusion at 10X magnification, but - like you - can see it in the magnified pic.

Looks like a great stone!

ditto!
Nice find.

diamondseeker & ocean16 - thanks for looking it over! Pricescope has provided me with a wealth of information and I feel confident in purchasing this stone, but it never hurts to get a second, third or fourth opinion :D

sweet_jane,

pick two more and then ask Customer Service to put them on hold. And that you are requesting Ideal-Scopes.

I have read that the vendor you are referring to will allow up to three IS images for free, but I am not purchasing the stone through that them and did not wish to take advantage of their customer service. After cross referencing diamond listings on Pricescope and other sites and using GIA cert numbers and specs to confirm it was the same diamond, I found this diamond on USA Certed Diamonds for the best price and saved $660. I think I have done my "homework" on the stone and believe it is worth having a closer look without the Ideal-scope image, am I being cavalier?

I greatly applaud you for not seeking images from one vendor knowing you are buying from another! Other vendors who do IS images
may have that stone listed and be willing to match the price, though.

Of the diamonds I had cross referenced that were listed on multiple sites, three were listed on USA Certed and were the lowest priced listing. I'm sure the company I didn't buy through would more than likely have honored the lower price. They have excellent reviews from what I have read on Pricescope and their customer service is impressive. Ultimately, the overall lower pricing, Martin's good reviews/reputation on Pricescope, and not having to "work" a deal lead me to buy from him.

For me, I am trying to replace my lost e-ring without having to pay any money out of pocket. I think it will be a fabulous stone for the price. Is it possible to have DSS from looking at SMTR before I even see my diamond?
