Hi guys, I''m new here. I''ve been lurking around for a while and this''s my 1st post. I need some help to evaluate a diamond. Some diamond-savvy souls, pls take a look at this stone and tell me how it fares. Sparkle like crazy?

Try submitting a post earlier but couldn''t see it. Hope this works :)

Its a gorgeous cut, is an L colour grade what you want? I have an L and love it, but it is definitely a warmer white and you will see some tint from the side. Have you spoken to one of the good folk at GOG to ask how this diamond looks? An L can be a great choice for some, I would pick another in a heartbeat, but some will find them too warm for their eyes. Have you seen any L colour grades in person? A superb cut like this will definitely show off this diamond to it's best advantage, but try to make sure the colour is what you want.

Lorelei, I''m asian so an L color will look good on me. Besides, I want a bigger stone but have a limited budget.

From some posts, I understand that crown, pavilion and girdles and etc all have an effect on the sparkliness of a stone. I ran the numbers on HCA and it''s a 1.3. I know that''s good. However, I''m not sure if I''ve missed out anything else here. Pls do comment.

Yay for another L lover!! Thats great then, you definitely know what you want, personally I would always consider an L if the cut was good - I love the softer glow an L can give the diamond! Also like you, it is a great way to get increased size.

The diamond is a stunner for cut, I think it is an excellent choice and you have done a great job!

I just wanted to ask you if you get it, could you post some pics please?

I was waiting to hear if you truly understood and wanted an L before commenting on the diamond. Since you''re ok on the color, I ditto Lorelei. The cut is excellent. It WILL be a stunner.

HI:

Ditto. I have long admired this stone...............

cheers--Sharon

While I know that a pic is no true indication of how a diamond looks when in person, I think this looks good. Sent to me by Charles from GOG.

It is a gorgeous stone, and looks like you love the L colour, so it''s a win-win for everyone!

It does.

But since I bought my upgrade from GOG, and it''s an Isee2 also, with numbers very similar to yours, I can tell you for sure it''s going to be stunning. Very bright with lots of fire. Really, you should not worry.

Hi, this is the ASET for this stone. Pls take a look and comment. There seems to be a lot of green, but it could be because the pic is so big and I so I seem to see a lot of green. Is it good?

yes

I can''t seem to attach 2 pics in 1 post? Here''s the pic of the arrows. Why do the arrows look like they are stacked layer upon layer (floating) as compared to the rest of the arrows I''ve seen?

I have actualy been drooling over that stone for a pendant for my sister myself if I had any money lol

Wat''s longer lgf% ? Sorry I''m new here and new familiar with the terms yet.

Now I''ve another question. I want more spread but am on limited budget. Should I be considering the 1.58 L VVS1 ($5175) instead of this stone (1.3 L VS2, $5377) though the idealscope of the 1.3 looks nicer?

found it, id stick too the 1.30 myself.

The diamond looks gorgeous Aurora, in fact I think when you get it, it may look whiter than it does in the pic.

Hi ladies, thanks for your responses. Now another one from GOG has caught my eye. I''ll start a new thread to let the pros help me determine the sparkliest!! I''m glad to have you ladies to help me when I have not much knowledge :)
