Hello everyone! I have been lurking for about 6 months and this is my first post. First off let me start off by saying that everyone''s rings are absolutely gorgeous, and thanks to you gals, my "easy" search for a ring is now a grand scheme of magnitute proportions!

But no, really...thank you.

So here is my story in a nutshell. I have been with my wonderful FF for close to 5 years and we have been looking for rings for about 6 months. I never, NEVER realized it could be such a hard decision...though I should have, because I analyze (and OVER analyze) everything. Sorry, I guess its just an extension from my job as an Analyst.
My style (and my FF''s style) is more casual than dressy, and I never wear jewelery so picking a ring to wear everyday and something that I will love has been pretty hard to find.

Ok so I am leaning between a HOF setting and a Scott Kay setting. My FF has been involved from the very start and I want to get something that he likes as well. The problem is that my fiance loved the HOF setting and I did too (at first), so he thought our search was over and is ready to buy that ring. However, NOW I''m not so sure.
The Scott Kay style that I also fell in love with is similiar to the HOF, but my FF is not so crazy about it. My dillema is deciding what to do. I want something simple and beautiful with not too much "bling", but then I see some of these more detailed rings on here and I start drooling.
I love the sparkle of the HOF, but it seems to be set a little low to me. The SK doesnt have as much sparkle, but it sits a little higher and I like the little diamond in the middle. Oh and not to mention its about $1,000 less. So should I get the HOF since thats the one my FF loves and it will be more sentimental since we picked it "together"? Or the SK, which will be less sentimental but will save him some money??

Please tell me what you think, and which you like better. I am planning on getting a .90-1.10 round HOF/H&A/ACA, if that helps any.
Thank you everyone, any input would be greatly appreciated!!
