Which would you choose:

http://www.whiteflash.com/round_ideal_cut/Round-Ideal-Cut-cut-diamond-1204641.htm

Thanks so much.....I''m trying to get a RB as close to 1ct as possible. I''m not color sensitive; however I do not want to go beyond an "I" and SI2. Please help me find the best RB under $5500, setting not included. I''m thinking about a MM flame or torchiere.

Thanks so much!!!

Any comments out there from the veterans???

How do I post a hyperllnk? /thanks so much!!!

I am no expert but they both have great cuts and great numbers and I am sure the experts here will weigh in shortly. Only thing that would concern me is the carbon spots in the center of each stone -- have your asked WF if they are eyclean? If so, I would say that the second one "spoke" to me a little more than the first but that is just my personal opinion.

Now I know you didn''t want to go below an I/SI2 but here is a really nice stone that you may want to consider in your search:

http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/2712/ -- a J/SI1 but fantastic cut and right under your price range.

also this is an I/SI2 that is quite a bit below your price range but probably not as great a cut but still looks nice:

and a couple of I/SI2''s from whiteflash:
http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/A-Cut-Above-H-A-cut-diamond-260699.htm -- this one looks fantastic

also a nice one if it is eye clean: http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/A-Cut-Above-H-A-cut-diamond-906724.htm

and finally this one is just over your budget by $232 but still looks like a winner!

Good Luck!!!

Thanks, Coscogirl. I will inquire about their eyeclean status.

That ACA looks gorgeous, just confirm that it''s eyeclean to your standards first though.

Yes and also that the very thin part of the girdle of the non ACA is not a durability issue ( rare but best to check).

May I ask, which ACA you ladies are referring to. Thanks so much for your help!

It depends - if the H SI2 was eyeclean and the very thin part of the girdle not an issue ( unlikely but best to check), then it could be an excellent choice, it depends on your priorities and preferences! If you want the pedigree of the ACA then thats the one to pick, if you want to shoot for the H then the other one might be the best choice, both are lovely diamonds.

The H-SI2 doesn''t appear eye-clean. I would go for the I-SI.

Lorelei gives great advice, as usual.

, I''m not sure how you know the SI2 isn''t eyeclean. We never "assume" on any stone, as we have learned that just by looking at plots and pictures, stones that appear eyeclean, may actually not be, and vice versa. Every stone must be evaluated in person.
