Hello, I'm looking for a loose diamond for my engagement ring and will really appreciate your help in selecting the best diamond that fits in our budget. We are thinking to spend around 10-11k on the diamond alone to go with a classic solitaire ring setting. I have small hands with short fingers (size 4.25) so anything larger than 1.25 will probably look too big on me. I have a good eyesight and seeing inclusions bothers me so I need a stone that's completely eye clean.

I got in touch with Debi at WhiteFlash and really like her service and so WF is where I most likely will purchase from. She helped me narrowed down to two solitaire settings - Legato Sleekline or Vatche U113. She also provided some suggestions on the stones and this is where I would like your opinion on:

1. I first started looking for a 1 carat in G, VS1 stone but realized I can get a bigger stone without sacrificing too much on quality by going down to H, VS2. Is that a wise choice?

2. If the answer to the 1st question is positive, here are several stones I'm interested in and would love to know what would be your pick:

(1) 1.034 ct G VS2 ACA:

(2) 1.121 ct H VS1 ACA:

(3) 1.21 ct H VS2 ACA:

(4) 1.214 ct H VS2 ACA:

(5) 1.237 ct H VS2 ACA:

I'm looking for an ideal balance of the 4C. If you know of any other stone on the WF site that fits the criteria I would certainly be interested to know!

Thanks for your help!

I'm a practical person. In my humble opinion, these 2 stones looks to be the best value for money amongst the stones that you had listed here. Colorwise, the difference between G - H is not easy to tell apart by most people.

Good carat size + idealscope pictures.

If you don't mind having fluorescence in your diamond, you might want to consider stones with slight florescence. that should get you more bang for your buck.

I think it's a great idea going to H color to get a larger stone. I love the 1.23. That extra diameter will really make the stone pop! :appl:

I had a small white crystal (or two) on the table of my last 3 stones. I never saw them without a loupe or microscope. That stone looks really clean to me.
