I have been looking extensively at engagement rings for my girlfriend in the following range:
Cut: Excellent
Carat: 1.10-1.20
Colour: G-H
Clarity: VS2-VS1

I found the following stone:
Cut: Excellent, Carat: 1.17, Colour: H, Clarity: VS2
GIA Cert # 2178828152

I was curious if anyone had thoughts on the stone? Any pointers or guidance would be much appreciated!

Depth 61.0 %

Girdle Thin to Slightly Thick, Faceted, 3.5%
Culet None

It's fine. The crown is a little lower than some prefer, but there's nothing in the report to say that there are any worries. White light return will be emphasized over colored light return. 80% LGF means the arrows will be on the skinnier side, but probably not too skinny.

Have you seen the diamond in person?

What's the approx price? Have you compared prices?

Hi There,

Thanks for your response, the price I was quoted was ~$7200 USD (just for the stone). It also has an HCA score of 0.7.

As for your comment on the crown, should I be looking for something a little 'higher'?

The stone does fall into my price range so it was one I was more eager on compared to other options that I had seen. I have not seen the diamond in person however.

Thanks again for your response!

Hello,

The GIA certificate # is 2178828152 and the price quoted was ~$7200 (USD).

I'll update the first post with this information as well. I don't have any images as of yet but have requested for them.
