Newbie here - ring sparkle?

I have a 14K white gold engagement ring. I got this at a jewelry store and I think they may have not been totally honest with this sale. I also think I may have paid too much for this ring. It does not sparkle in regular light, only in direct sunlight or other bright ligh. Otherwise, it just looks clear white with no real sparkle. Did I get a bad ring at the jewelry store? I am not sure what to do, they do not give refunds. I am very upset about this. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do they do exchanges? Because if they do exchanges you might have something to work with.... but if they don''t, best just enjoy what you have until the next opportunity to diamond shop arises, and then remember to come here first

Some believe that Princess cuts don't sparkle as much as rounds, but it should at least look reasonably attractive when in ' rest mode" in other lights. Cut is what makes a diamond sparkle and is very important, is it a done deal or can you exchange it? Due to the variance in colour and clarity grading, can you tell us which lab graded this diamond?
