Hey guys,

Can I get some thoughts on some diamonds I was thinking of getting? I really appreciate any feedback!

Here is the link to BlueNile and the GIA report.

Here is the vendor's webpage with the scope images.

It looks good from what I see...although the scope pictures look a little faded but that might be just because of the lighting. Most images I find online have a much deeper red and deeper colours for ASET.

The last thing I used was the HCA tool
https://www.pricescope.com/tools/hca

In which I got a 1.6 which is excellent for light performance. Everything considered, am I getting good value on this one? I've been told there's very little "deals" to be had on diamonds and everything is priced the way it is for a reason...but yeah....what do you think?

This one is $3797 (Prices are in CAD. USD is probably about 10% less)

The other one I was considering was this 0.90 from JamesAllen. My only issue with it is that it looks a bit more warm for an I color than I would like, but otherwise it has perfect ratings on the AGS Platinum certificate and the light spread looks amazing based on the simulated ASET image. I think the HCA tool gave it a 1.4 from what I remember.

This one is $4190 (Prices are in CAD. USD is probably about 10% less)

What do you guys think? Can I do better or are both pretty good for how much they cost?

I think I'm probably going to go with the 0.83....but can anyone give any feedback or advice based on the info above? I would really appreciate any help. =)

Thanks in advance!

The first one is lovely. The second one, I can see the tint, a bit more warm than i would think

The first one looks great. Gorgeous angles on both but a 60/60 stone on the first one. The second has smaller table. I have a 60/60 stone with the same angles and I love it over my Tolk stone but most PS'er prefer smaller tables........guess I am the weird one out. Both stones maybe the same color. You see the warmth on the JA stone from the sides but you can't see the sides on the BN stone so they probably look the same or the difference is so minute irl. Something to think over ;))

Thanks so much to the both of you! I didn't even know what a 60/60 diamond was until you mentioned it just now. I had to google it =P

I think I'm gonna go with the 0.83 stone....I really appreciate your advice and opinions! Have a Merry Christmas guys! Hopefully the BlueNile diamond doesn't have too much warmth to it from the sides, but I guess I won't know until I get it.
