Newbie here...Please help selecting a diamond

Hi, there. A friend of mine refer me to PS, I hope I can get some advice and suggestions here, and I'm sure I will.

Because our budget is tight, my Fiance and I decide to select a 0.5-1.2 carat diamonds on WF.

Could you please critique this diamond?

FYI, I wear a 3.5 size band, and as I remembered, when I tried rings in Tiffany last year, a 0.8 carat diamond already seems huge to me. While no woman will complaint on a bigger size right?

So could you give me you suggestion on the weight? I do prefer an excellent cut, color range between D-F, clarity between VVS1-VS2 diamond. But how about weight, what weight should be suitable?

BTW, if you reject both diamonds, please don't hesitate tell me, I will continue hunting for better ones.

It does not matter which one you choose bc they are both really nice. Its up you on the size. What kind of setting do you like, if its pricey then I say go for the smaller one if you want a solitaire I say go big...

One thing I can say is that VS2 and SI1 eyeclean diamonds is what I would be aiming for to maximize budget.

Ditto Breann. Both are excellent diamonds, you just need to decide what your own priorities are and go from there.

Lina, both are lovely, and though it''s easy to prefer the larger, more expensive one, you might consider splitting the difference with one like this one. Remember, you''ll get a Pricescope discount on any of these; on the latter one, an ASET will come along shortly, or you can request it pdq.

Although you''ll want to check with WF to confirm, I''m pretty sure it''s just a timing thing...that essentially all diamonds from WF marked "available" are either ACAs (this one, right?), or Expert Selections...and all will come soon enough with the same data for each, including ASET, IS, & more. But, for speed''s sake, they will post basic info until other data is available.

As I say, check me by contacting them, or others here may be able to confirm...but I believe that''s the case.

Then, maybe the diamond you recommend is a better one, b/c it just comes in the stock, while the other two might be something left for a while, am I right? I''ll contact WF and ask for them tomorrow.

No, all the diamonds posted you are thinking about are great. Really all ACA diamonds are great.

I think I will choose the smaller one, b/c from the ideal-scope, seems that it has less leakage of light.
