So.. after weeks and weeks of researching the biggest decision I have ever made I think I have found the perfect stone for my soon to be bride. It is a local shop in Baton Rouge so I''m scared I''m getting ripped off. They have a good reputation here in town but I am young and a newbie when it comes to diamonds. Can I get comments and the expected price one might pay for this diamond?

Also could I get a picture of gemcalc reports for this Diamond?

Thanks,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Do you have any other diamonds in mind? This one is what we call a steep deep, the crown and pavilion angles are not a good fit for each other, the diamond will most likely leak light and not be very attractive, so I don't think a simulated computer image would be very useful in this case either. The table is a bit larger than many we see here but that isn't a problem as this is more due to personal taste, it is the angles which are the issue. You can do better than this diamond.

(Nodding in agreement with Lorelei) Also, if you want price, use the "Pricescope your diamond" at the top of the page. Enter the information and you will see what Pricescope vendors would charge for a similar size & clarity of stone. Make sure to enter a small range on size, in this case I would use 1.20 to 1.25 for the size.

Thritto, best to give this stone a miss.
